Items were tested at WVU by students from a calculus-based introductory mechanics course (WVU 111) and a calculus-based introductory electrodynamics course (WVU 112) in the Spring 2024 semester. 297 students in WVU 111 (19.52% non-male, 8.56% urm, and 13.7% first generation) and 135 students in WVU 112 (22.96% non-male, 10.37% urm, and 22.22% first generation) were administered Kinematics1D.Ver1.1. 209 students in WVU 111 (19.61% non-male, 6.86% urm, and 12.75% first generation) and 112 students in WVU 112 (25% non-male, 8.93% urm, and 17.86% first generation) were administered Kinematics1D.Ver6.WVU.Post.
Items were tested at OSU by students from a calculus-based introductory mechanics course (OSU 1250) and an algebra-based introductory mechanics course (OSU 1200) in the Spring 2024 semester. 533 students in OSU 1250 and 588 students in OSU 1200 were administered Kinematics1D.Ver3.OSU.Pre. 451 students in OSU 1250 and 482 students in OSU 1200 were administered Kinematics1D.Ver7.OSU.Post. No further demographic data was collected from OSU.
Items were tested at MSU by students from a calculus-based introductory mechanics course (MSU 183), a calculus-based introductory electrodynamics course (MSU 184), an algebra-based introductory mechanics course (MSU 221), and an algebra-based introductory electrodynamics course (MSU 222) in the Spring 2024 semester. 265 students in MSU 183 (44.91% non-male, 8.68% urm, and 13.96% first generation), 290 students in MSU 184 (35.86% non-male, 10.34% urm, and 15.86% first generation), 83 students in MSU 221 (71.08% non-male, 4.82% urm, and 16.87% first generation), and 268 students in MSU 222 (72.39% non-male, 11.19% urm, and 18.66% first generation) were administered Kinematics1D.Ver1.1. 278 students in MSU 183 (38.49% non-male, 11.15% urm, and 17.63% first generation), 163 students in MSU 184 (29.45% non-male, 11.04% urm, and 12.27% first generation), 98 students in MSU 221 (70.41% non-male, 5.1% urm, and 20.41% first generation), and 182 students in MSU 222 (71.98% non-male, 11.54% urm, and 18.68% first generation) were administered Kinematics1D.Ver5.MSU.Post.
Class Type 1 refers to whether a student is in an introductory mechanics course, PHYS I, or an introductory electrodynamics course, PHYS II. Class Type 2 refers to whether a student is in an algebra-based course or a calculus based course.
